Good morning! My name is Michael Rivera, and I’m the Executive Chef. I’m brand new to the Heathman Lodge and Hudson’s Bar & Grill family and excited to bring my passion and global experience to this incredible team.
With over 20 years of cooking and kitchen management, I’ve traveled the world and developed a deep appreciation for adventure, flavor, and creativity. Growing up in the PNW inspired my love for the outdoors and exploring new places—it’s where I learned that great food is all about curiosity and connection.
I started from the ground up, learning alongside amazing chefs who helped shape my approach to leadership and mentorship. My goal here is to build lasting careers, nurture creativity, and deliver memorable dining experiences for every guest.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m out playing sports (avid disc & ball golfer), fishing, snowboarding, or exploring with my 4-year-old Lab/German Shepherd mix. I also have a passion for art—from paint and pottery to pyrography.
